AHH Still on Halloween?

I guess so…
I don’t mean to backtrack ALL THE WAY to October (haha) but I have a point to this Halloween talk, don’t you worry.

Ya know how NPblogger Kev here says that he loves Hocus Pocus? Well I feel that he is not alone. Everyone I talked to watched that movie or wanted to watch it. It’s a hot one! I don’t know if it’s just this age group that is in love with this Disney flick, but it’s quite the film to watch during Halloween season. All seem to know the songs, the quotes, the characters, the storyline, etc. etc. I myself watched Hocus Pocus in youtube clips on my computer since I do not own the movie!

At any rate, Hocus Pocus has a lovely song in it called “I Put a Spell On You,” which is sung by the three witches, known as the Sanderson Sisters. These three witches are played by the hysterical Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy. I’m sure you’ve heard this song if you’re familiar with the movie/seen it before. If not…here’s your chance! Since “I Put a Spell on You” is a Halloween favorite, the all girl a cappella group I’m in, The Sexy Pithes, sang it for our residence hall performance in Espous Hall. It was spectacular!! One of our sweet, lovely newbies, DawnMarie Allan had this performance taped and put it up on youtube! YES! Thanks Daawn! So you get to see it for yourselves! We all dressed up that night, being the Sexy Witches, with black hats and other witch attire. Our soloist is the very talented Christine Sweeney. I’m sure you’ll see her name in lights one day.
