Hello Everyone,
My name is Timothy Redfearn, but everyone just calls me Tim, and I am one of the New Paltz bloggers for the 2011-2012 school year. That means I’ll be posting blogs about things that are going on around New Paltz and this is my FIRST ONE, so I hope you like it.
Just so you have an idea of who I am, I am a senior here at SUNY New Paltz majoring in General Business with a minor in History. I’ve been at New Paltz my whole college career and I absolutely love it here.
Now to the fun part!!
Every year I tell myself that I am going to go to the gym and workout. Like always, I found myself getting too busy or just being real lazy. So, In an attempt to break this bad habit, I set a goal for myself to ACTUALLY go to the gym two times a week this year. Today was the first day of gym time for me, so I thought I’d share it with you all.
First, let me tell you a little about the gym. The gym here at New Paltz is called the Athletic and Wellness Center, aka AWC, and it is real nice. They have two fully equipped weight/cardio rooms. Above those workout rooms, there is a one ninth of a mile elevated track. There’s also a dance studio, two basket ball courts, and an indoor pool.

Anyway, I really needed this workout after not spending much time in a gym all summer. I worked out for about an hour and let me tell I was so tired afterward. I used the treadmills, the bikes, and I did a little weight lifting. I will definitely be feeling this in the morning. Next week their Zumba classes are going to start up and I am really EXCITED!!!
