Hey Readers!
Another week over in this fall semester and another few projects completed as well. I had two critiques this week in photography and form. They went well and I am very relieved that I finished the projects, and enjoy the outcome.
In form I made four sunk bowls and turned them upside and formed another indent into them. Together they created a larger bowl form. I thought of them as found objects, which seemed to be the theme to the projects this week. They seemed to look like rocks in the outcome due to their irregular shapes from hammering.
In photography we had to make a set of eleven prints. The prints were motion, multiple imagery, sandwich negatives, solarization, negative and six photograms. We also needed to have an alternative presentation for our six photograms which meant we could not just push pin the prints to the critique wall. I created photograms of eyes and burnt the edges of the photo, then placed the print in jars of dirt. My professor brought up the idea of found objects and that I changed the shape of the paper with burning.
On another note I will be writing my next blog from home for Thanksgiving!
Onto the final projects now.
Until Next Time
